"Swimming," starring Lauren Ambrose of "Six Feet Under." When his movie was being released in Denver over the 4th of July weekend, he needed as much buzz built about the movie as possible. The movie was being released at the beautiful Mayan Theatre on Broadway.
Lauri Harrison PR was hired to build the buzz and assist the Mayan with promotions for the movie. With just a two-day notice, Lauri was able to ensure movie posters were distributed to popular coffee houses, restaurants and clubs within the metro Denver area; local entertainment web sites had the movie posted, and email blasts were sent out to a variety of groups and organizations.
The results? "Swimming" became critically-acclaimed in Denver and was the 2nd highest box office gross at the Mayan.
